PHP / MySQL issue - help to resolve

Hi,

I have a very basic understanding of PHP and MySQL. The issue is as follows:

On my website users can post jobs. A job gets posted if a couple of the fields are set to "1" for a job posting.

These get set to "1" when a job is approved by admin. The jobs will then expire in either 7,14,30, or 60 days depending on the user's choice. This has been working fine since we went live (been about 2 weeks now).

However, this week the jobs are being randomly pulled down from the website, before expiring. When I check the status of the 2 fields (mentioned above) they both have been changed to "0"; to the system this means that the jobs have not been approved, and consequently, the jobs go back into the admin waiting queue to be approved.

This is not happening on my test copy. So, I cannot understand why the status of these jobs would suddenly change in the DB?? I have not set-up any Cron job either.

Your help would be much appreciated!!

cosmic rays? really there's no way to debug your issue with what you have provided, you could post all the code. How about finding all the code that sets the field to 0 and log when its called, and check it cant be called any way other than how you think it should be.

I figured that I was asking the impossible, but I wasn't getting anywhere by bashing my head against the wall, so I figured I'd try here.

Thanks for the suggestion, however, I wouldn't know how to enable the logging?

write to file or send yourself an email when the particular bit of code is hit, including what ever details you need.
