Your programming environment

I am curious on what OS/utilities people use for development. So, if you are a bit bored, would you mind quickly responding to each of the following?

OS used
Editor (vi, emacs, notepad, etc.)
Do you use an IDE and if so, which one?

As for myself, for reasons beyond my control, I have to use Windows on my PC at home (wife does not want to learn yet another OS 😉).

But for some reason, I just cannot seem to make good use of editors like the Programmer's Notepad, etc. I also refuse to pay for an IDE or editor, I love using open source software.

So, in the end I installed cygwin with fluxbox as wm and I use vi to code in and cvs for change control.

Windows XP (hey, nothing wrong about using WinXP for developing!). Ubuntu on laptop.
Notepad++ and good old nano if using ssh and doing minor modifications. Gedit on Ubuntu
Netbeans 6.7 (PHP edition). On winxp and ubuntu. Very nice with only couple of irritating bugs: intending and it slows down after long period of coding(restarting the program fixes this)

Tried to use Zend Eclipse versions for a while but got fed up when it screwed up all my projects couple of times and was very heavy + had other irritating bugs at the time. Havent tried the latest version that came a while ago. When it comes to the usability level that version 5.5 had, I will definately use it then 🙂

WIN XP - APACHE - MySQL 6
I also have a Laptop Vista, a Imac G3, and a Xubuntu Station setup.
I use Dreamweaver CS4 for my editor
and no IDE although I think I should start using them.
