How do you pull MULTIPLE COLUMNS from Mysql then store the values into array using PHP and later display it onto SMARTY?

Can you show example codes for this please.

Anyone out there with humble heart please.
I"m scratching my head for this in many days.

mysqli to query - you'll get an array...

$result = $db->query(...);

$data = array();
if ($result) {
	while ($row = $result->fetch_assoc())
		$data[] = $row;				// take everything in the result set and create an array

$smarty->assign_by_ref("data", $data);
}

Or create a block plugin to handle sql queries and go over the result set.
