I made a db for a company directory of the employees along with a form for entering employee information. Besides the usual information fields (name, phone, etc.) I also included 3 varchar fields - smallphoto, largephoto and video.
I also made a master display page and a detail display page where the master page displays a thumbnail (smallphoto), name and phone with a link on the name to go to a detail page where additional info is displayed along with the largephoto and video (if there is a video available)
The photos and video are stored in an image folder (or video folder). The images are already sized accordingly.
When I display the list of employees, everything shows up correctly except for the photos. I tried entering <img src="images/image name.jpg"/> into the smallphoto field entry on the entry form but the image doesn't appear when displaying the employee list. I also tried the link in the absolute format too.
I am the only one with access to this db and entry form. I am using dreamweaver as my editor however I am somewhat familiar with html code also. I know that the <img src="images/image name.jpg" /> works fine in a html page so I assumed it would work in a db field too.
Obviously I am missing something. Can an image be called to display from the db field where is should be displayed and of so, how would that request be entered into the db field (such as smallphoto for the thumbnail)?
