My gals dad builds office furniture on occasion. I've helped him and the amount some people spend on these desks (upwards of thousands per desk) for just an "L" desk and a book shelf.
Really, best thing you could do is buy some metal legs from Ikea (or any furniture store) and buy essentially 1/4" plywood and cut it to your satisfaction. Take an afternoon and build a desk that fits you just right 😉 Can't beat the price-tag (or getting exactly what you want).
You could look around at www.officefurniture.com or even www.staples.com to peruse some furniture. If you want a good desk, make sure it's solid wood, otherwise a few bangs and moves later, it won't hold up.
