enters and tabs removed in text blobs

Hi all,

I have managed to make a tiny guestbook but in every entry a person makes, the enters (or returns, idk the english word) and tabs are reduced to single spaces. Is there a way to display the text just the way they typed it?

I hope you understand what i mean..

HTML ignores repeated whitespace, unless you either a) turn the whitespace into HTML-equivalent entities (e.g. <br> for line breaks, or multiple   entities for a tab), or b) surround the text with <pre>..</pre> entities so that the original text formatting is preserved.
