[RESOLVED] php.ini files

I accidentally deleted my php.ini file from my server. Can I ftp the php.ini file from MAMP/php5 on to my webhost's server?

Well, can "can I" but would that file work if uploaded?

As far as compatibility, it's just a plain text file, so should be usable as long as you treat it as such (i.e., don't open it up and then save it in MS Word or other non-ASCII-text editors). You'll need to check any settings that deal with file system paths and such, as they will likely be different on different machines.

I realized there was a problem when I was testing a form and received this message:
"The requested URL /<br /><b>Notice</b>: Undefined index: $PHP_SELF in <b>/home/content/w/a/o/waoclub/html/join.php</b> on line <b>264</b><br /> was not found on this server."

Is that b/c there isn't a php.ini telling php to turn on global variables?

I don't think that's what that error means. Looks more like it's probably a typo, such as specifying $SERVER['$PHP_SELF'] when what you really meant was $SERVER['PHP_SELF']. Taking a look at line 264 of that file (join.php) should help clear it up, whatever the case.
