tutorial for data display

hi,

can someone lead me to a online tutorial where i can learn how to retrieve data from mysql database and display the data in this way described below.

i've a table "company profile". It has the following fields/columns in it:
company name, address, website, postal code, country, state, city, country telephone code, country city code, telephone number, country telephone code, country city code, fax number, business license number, company description, company history, .......

If i were to display all the fields at once, there are simply too much fields that it can't fit into the normal screen width for easy viewing.

I want to display all/most of the fields in the table horizontally on the screen without exceeding the screen width.

I've seen other website doing it this way:

eg. i'm now at the "Company" TAB, i should see these fields:

eg. if i click on the "Contacts" TAB, i should see these fields:
note:
- the webpage did not refresh!
- the "street A" is the address of the ABC company (1st record)!
- each column/field is able to sort (a-z, z-a, 0-9, 9-0...), if i sort any column here in this TAB, all records in other TAB should also move accordingly. (eg. i sort country code, "065" should be now on the top, if i go back to "Company" TAB, id 03 should also be on the top.)
- the column sorting is only sorting data of that "display" page, eg. page 1 data column sorting and not page 5 data become page 1 data...

I can't tell you exactly where they are, but I can tell you what to look for.
For the basic display, if you search for "PHP and MySql Tutorial" that will bring up one teaching your basic functions to write to the database and pull everything onto a page.
To display 5 records per page, the tutorial you want to search for is "Pagination".
Now for where you said "The page did not refresh", that's not going to be php. PHP is a server side language, so to change contents you would have to refresh. I think I understand what you mean, that you have 3 tabs, and you want to be able to switch between them. To do this your best bet is Javascript, or possibly xml, but I've never worked with xml so I could be wrong.
