[RESOLVED] .htaccess rewriterule

hi everyone sorry i tried searching for this but iam having trouble with this rewrite.

I want to rewrite: www.site.com?index.php?page=contact to
www.site.com/contact

tried some :

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^{([/.]+/[/.]+)/?$} index.php?page=$1

RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /index.php?page=$1 [L]

but having no luck! anyone? Thanks for your time
