[RESOLVED] What am i doing wrong

It keeps telling me this:::

Notice: Undefined index: act in C:\wamp\www\register.php on line 11

heres line 11: $action = $_GET['act'];

im making a registration form for my website and there just this one thing.

I'm not 100% sure what your problem may be...

it might possibly be the fact you haven't declared your GET in the browser navgation bar:

http://localhost/register.php?act=????

I'm guessing where the 4 question marks are above the script is requiring an 'action'.

paste your full code from the page within some php tags, it might explain your problem a little better.

Use

$action = (!empty($GET['act'])) ? $GET['act'] : '';

That will check if the index is empty (or does not exist) and assign $action either the value of $_GET['act'] or an empty value.

Your problem, as stated in the previous post, is that you do not have action defined ... most likely because it is not in the query string of the URL.
