Detecting words from webpages

I am currently trying to write a script that can detect pre-declared words of which appears on a web page.

At the moment I can grab the complete web page, and find the words that is required using preg_match_all.

The problem that I am having is finding words that might be within links on the page or even within a bigger word.

If I search for the word post after I have posted this message, it will detect the word post. But also find the links on the page like showpost.php, post_message_X etc.

I have tried reading up on preg_match_all expressions, but am having problems understanding how I can it working correctly.

#\s(post)\s# would match only "post" if preceeded and followed by any number of white space characters, but fail if followed by , . etc
#\bpost\b# matches post, if there is a word boundary before and after "post".
