.JS File for menu bar links and background

How do you get the image to repeat in x and be fixed using this code?
Also is it posable to combine the two so the image is in the background and the links or on top of it.

You'd use CSS to style the links' container with a URL-specified image for the background (set to repeat-x).

So it cant be done with the .js file code I showed.

No idea: it's just a random scrap of JavaScript with no how or why or when or where to explain anything about what it's for.

On the other hand, you could write anything you want in JavaScript. Including style manipulation. Not that JavaScript of course, because that JavaScript doesn't do it. But again, there is no how or why or when or where to explain anything about what it's for.

it not random code in the page I have

        <div id="logo">

        </div>

which gets the image from the above code in a .js file also puts the links in a div
