PHP4 Oracle 9 , ocilogon or ociplogon?

Hello,

Our websites(PHP4+zend/Linux/apache/oracle 9.2) have some problems now...

DB server reached 100% CPU usage today, the memory usage is high, too

Does php/apache maintain a shared connection pool after we using OCIPLogon? Does the pool work effectively? How to control the connection number in the connection pool?
