No. The problem is that you want a lexicographic ordering of letters and a numeric ordering of numerals. I strongly advice against mixing ordering, since it just leads to confusion.
You could of course go with a numeric ordering on everything, and treat the strings as number of whatever base is required to fit all the letters within that base. But then again, that would mean AB comes before AAA and will also confuse people.
If you do insist on mixing ordering styles you could split the string into two fields: one containing letters and one containing numbers.
On the other hand, this will complicate other things...
So once again, why do you want this behaviour?
