Dearest PHP Programmers,
I have only mastered HTML - but I am in new territory with PHP.

I think I know how to create a PHP form. And I think I know how to make it "echo" the results in certain places in a template so that the layout of the submitted form is all pretty.

But, what I want is to publish the results of that form as a separate web page for each user.

Every time someone fills this out, I want a new page published to the File Manager as the name of the character.

Example:
If the character's name is Alicia Sparrow, I'd like, when her form is submitted, for a page to be made named Alicia_Sparrow.php saved to the website where others may view it. Is this possible?

You could do it that way, or route all requests to a specific path go to "index.php" and that reads part of the url so you could have:

/user/alicia_sparrow

which does this. That's a simple .htaccess rule:

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCondition %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCondition %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteRule ^/user/(.*)$ /user.php?character=$1 [L,QSA]

That basically says that if it's not an actual file or directory, and the request starts with /user followed by a slash and any characters, it redirects it to /user.php?character={name after slash}.
