i sent a simple mail with php to an email id at gmail. but that mail didnt get concerned mail. is there any mail server problem??? any help?

What does this mean?
Did you check you mail clients log (you need one to send mail) to see if the mail actually got sent?
A lot of mail providers, (Hotmail for one) don't accept mail from unregistered domains, Gmail may not as well.

If that works, then it means gmail is filtering. Hotmail puts all my site mail in "junk" for some reason.
Always cross reference your results.
