[RESOLVED] passing variables via url

Hi all,

So I have a site where I always passed variables via url simply by having links such as "index.php?inc=blah". I never had to use:

$inc=$_GET['inc'];

Rather, $inc would automatically be a working variable... Just today however this stopped working, and I tested it and putting "$inc=$_GET['inc'];" fixes the problem... However I have hundreds of pages and different variables that need fixing and I'm worried I'll miss one. Is there something on the web server that might have been changed that I can simply change back?

previously you have been working in systems with the dreaded safe mode set to on, your are lucky that you are no longer in such a situation.

Also note that re-enabling register_globals is not a good solution to this problem; register_globals is disabled by default in recent versions of PHP (and removed altogether from future versions, e.g. PHP6) because it was declared a possible security risk/exploit (not to mention sloppy coding, IMHO).
