Help with mkdir

Hello.

I am having problems with mkdir. I've read some previous posts and have done some of what others have done but, I can't get it to work. Here's what I'm trying to do:

echo mkdir( "./Dec2009", 0777, true ) ? "Success" : "Fail";

It always fails. Don't know why. I have SafeMode = Off just to test this but is not working.
I also have the entire directory owned by www-data.

Try using the full path to the directory like /var/www/Dec2009 that may do it, you also need to make sure that www-data can write to the directory.

I've tried it but, not working. www-data owns the directory.

There's a few items:

1) If this is linux, be sure Apache is operating as www-data, also, try (just for testing) setting that www directory as 777 (only for testing)

If it then works you know its a permissions issue

2) If its windows / IIS, have the sys admin enable permissions, no matter who owns it, IIS perms will have to be set, WAMP I believe there is filesystem settings to allow it.
