recursive function - need help badly

Hi,

I am fairly new to php and mysql and I need to set up a lyrics database and it is pretty huge, I had a few tables to work with.,

Problem is I don't how recursion works in php and mysql.

Example

TABLES lyrics_catgeory

id album name song titles song_lyrics

1 lost in love all out of love --- I'm lying along with my head on the ...
lost in love --- I realize the best part of love....
chances ---- There's a chance you will be <br>

2 the one that you love sweet dreams --- This is the time ..

here I am --- here I am playing with those...

Clicking on Lost in Love album would get you to

If I click on "chances" song would display the lyrics

This is done only in one file.. I don't know how to do it. I really have trouble with coding. Need help on this

mod_rewrite and one script to parse out each "stages" variable value

then just check sequentially if artist,album,song are set and drill down

No I mean on how to write the script on php and mysql, my lyrics are in the database!! Not filename. Help!
