hi i m new learner of php i got an assignement to make 2 blocks of php and display value of variable made in first block from 2nd block this is my code
when i run it it show the output of first first block doesnt show 2nd block output here is my code kindly help me out please.........

I'm going to bet that your server doesn't have short open tags enabled, so the space between "<?" and "php" in the second block is causing it not to parse as PHP. Remove that space and see if that fixes it.

As mentioned above, you need to remove the gap between the <? and PHP in your second block. I've just tested it and it works. However, I would make sure you use either print or echo for displaying text and not both. In my opinion it looks messy. Here's what I came up with:

I also try to keep PHP syntax and HTML syntax seperate where possible. You'll see in your original code that you're echoing a <BR /> tag. There's no need - simply take this to outside the PHP tag reduce the amount of text the script has to read.

thanks alot sir yes there is error due to gap in php thanks alot you help me alot ......... my new semestor is started it was our 3rd lecture thats why i m not perfect yet but im sure if i keep in touch with this site it will help me alot thanks alot now i will get 2 marks😃 for this assignment thanks

If you want instant notification via e-mail when someone posts a reply, however, the board software can do that for you - it's called "subscribing" (specifically, the "instant email notification" type). You can either set the default option in your User CP or set this option when you create a new post (it's under "Additional Options" once you hit "Post Reply" or the "Go Advanced" button in the quick reply box).
