I am interested in making a small league for small game. Only a handfull of people play it these days and we have a small community that mostly resides on IRC channels. I am not new to web design or programming but it has been a while, I have made websites before using CSS etc... and done some basic programming in the past in high school and college but never done PHP. Basically there a few things I am intersted in making in my league if you guys could perhaps help me get strated by pointing me the correct way I would really appreciate it.
I am interested in making a small league, which has 4-5 divisions. Each division has would have 3 players each. I wan't to code it so that the matches are scheduled that everybody in their division plays 2 people from different divisions first (2 matches). Then people in their division play each other. Lastly there would be a "rivalry" match for each player, the rivals would be cross division, so they can't play each other in inter division play before. I am also interested in keeping a track of map scores and w/l records and other functionality, also the power to perhaps decide some matches instead of them being randomly generated.
I know this may seem like a lot, but if anybody can help I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
