phpadmin help

hi i am new learner of php .... i have setup password FOR uroot and password is "azi"i know how to give password in phpmyadmin to connect i want to access phpmyadmin i m using xampp
when i run http:/localhost/phpmyadmin and hit enter
it gives me this error

phpMyAdmin tried to connect to the MySQL server, and the server rejected the connection. You should check the host, username and password in your configuration and make sure that they correspond to the information given by the administrator of the MySQL server.

now i want to know where could i find out phpmyadmin setup to confiqure this? kindly help me out in detailed n easy way i wiill be oblige to you

Usually there is no configuration to do.
Default config will work well as it is.
You login with same user and password as you have for your MySQL.
