[RESOLVED] Form with automatic 's @ the end of each line

Hi guys,

I have a simple form with text area, and I want to make the code automatically inserting 's each time user presses enter while entering data. But obviously, I don't want user to see them. The reason is that I want to have text displayed properly after selecting and printing it from the database it will be displayed properly, not as blended text ...

You can process the text from textarea
after the form is posted.
This function will insert break ( or ) at each newline (\n).
[man]nl2br/man ..... newline to break

Another function you may want to have a look at is
[man]wordwrap/man

if someone is looking for a clue how to exactly do this:

$text = nl2br($text);

so simple 🙂

Hmmm ... maybe depending on PHP version ? I have 5.3.0 and it's inserting 's .. 🙂

You are right!
The default is to insert 
In order to get you need to add false

<?php

$text = nl2br($text);        // will insert <br />
$text = nl2br($text, false); // will insert <br>

?>
