Pruning identical id's

Hi there everyone,

I've got a latest posts block that needs some smartening up. Right now, it gives the visitor the last 20 posts. If they're all in the same topic, then the visitor sees the same topic 20 times.

I would like it to check whether the topic id was already listed and if so, skip the printing of that post.

This is the php in a text file. I would be very appreciative if someone could give me a hand with this. I'm not sure how to handle it.

Thanks very much, rsmith. Since I didn't have access to the query in that file, it didn't help me in that instance, but I'm keeping the page out for a custom block. The previous dilemma has become a moot issue as a whole, though, as I scrapped Joomla. I'm now a true believer that forum bridges are of the devil. 🙂
