Automatically creating new pages for content

Hello;

Okay i'm trying to limit 4 items per page from my database, as of right now i'm able to retrieve everything from my database but it all comes on one page... right now there are 7 or 8 blog type items, i wanted to make a it in a way where it will only for 4 and automatically creates a new page for the other ones. At the bottom it says next page and so forth.

How can this be done?

You then should search for: MYSQL pager to do this. Internet is full of tutorials about this issue.
