saving last page when session timed out

Hi, I'm trying to store the name of the last page when the session was timed out, like when you are working with phpmyadmin and after a while of inactivity the session is timed out, then if you try to click in a table or an option phpmyadmin request to log in again and then it jumps to last action requested; so my question is:

-I have been googling for a while and I didn't find anything, do you have some urls that can help me?

it probably checks the $_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER'] value, although its not 100% reliable. If i'm wrong you can always download phpmyadmin and check the source.

Or just store the last page viewed in the session data; just because it times you out for inactivity doesn't mean that it destroyed all of the session data too.
