Pagination with max 10 pages

Hi all,

I'm trying to get some pagination to my results page.

I would like the navigation links to only show 5 pages on either side of the current page.

For example if I have 40 pages in total:

Page 1 shows:
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 [Last] Next

Page 18 shows:
[First] 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 [Last]

Currently I have all the page links (1-40 echoed) by using this tutorial:

I'm using Oracle, but if anyone can point me to a mySQL example of the above, I'm sure I can replicate it in Oracle/PHP.

Hope someone can help as I'm completed stumped!

Everything should be the same except the part where you print the links. Instead of printing from 1 to the last page number, you just need to print from the current page number - 5 to the current page number + 5. The part to worry about is when the current page is among the first or last four, but you can handle that by changing the start number to 1 if it is less than 1, and changing the end number to the last page number if it is greater than the last page number, and only then you start printing the links.
