using preg_match_all and preg_replace to find, use and replace numbers and emails

Hello, I have been struggling with this for a few days and I hope I can get some help.

I have a text file with lines of names phone numbers and emails formatted like this:
First Name Last Name 000.000.0000 [e-mail]

I am trying to grab these phone numbers and emails and put them in arrays so that I can then use them AND I am trying to convert the emails to links.

I've been trying to use preg_match_all to put the numbers into arrays and preg_replace to replace emails with clickable mailto: links, but I don't know how to use the two things together.

I am having a hard time. Can you guys give me any pointers?
