QUery ditinct records that filfill one query and check agaisnt another table if activ

FROM email_campaign, email_list
WHERE email_campaign.visited = 7 and email_list.active = 1

Why doesn't someting like this work?

I am trying to send a thank you to those that visited my website from email campaign #7 (thus visited = 7)

But before sending it also still needs to be an active email and that user did not bouce or unsubscribe (thus acitve =1)

You didn't tell SQL how the two tables are supposed to be joined together.

Is there an "email" column in both tables? If so, try adding "AND email_campaign.email = email_list.email" to your WHERE clause.
