[RESOLVED] Download Manager Script.

I'm looking for a script that will manage downloads from my site.

Ideally the user should enter their name, company and email address, submit this data and then get a download link.

The email address should be validated and the link obscured.

Once they submit I should get an email with their details & IP Address...

Is this possible ? Probably using a ready built script !!

There are 1000 php download scripts.
Some will suit your needs.
Will take a while to find, though 😕

What do you mean by this:
"download link."

Users could upload files and get back links like rapidshare?

Or you have files in a folder/database and want to send these url's if somebody register for you?

If yes, search a very basic login script.

I've been thinking about this and have changed what I need to do slightly..

Ideally I'd like a simple form that the end user enters:
their name,
company
email address

On submission the email adderss is validated and a download link is emailed to them AND I get an email of their name, company, email address and IP address.

Following the link in the email they can download the software..(hopefully I could track the download)

What would be really nice is if the link could be unique for that user/email address. So if they gave it someone else it wouldn't work !!

I'm sure there must be a ready built script like that.. but I;ve spent days now searching...

Any ideas on that !!

After a bit of playing I've managed to do this myself.

Simple feedback form asking for name, email and company.
The user selects the file they want and hits submit.

I get an email with all of there details, including IP address, host, user agent etc.

They get an email with a thank you message and a link to the selected file that is valid for 7 days or One download.

Seems to be working OK !!
