PHP Mail - Send mail at a specified date and time

Hello,

I'm trying to add a new function to an existing application, which is reminder emails for certain events.

I have made email forms before so that's probably not the problem, but I am wondering how I could, so to say, delay the message untill the date and time specified.

I tried googling... but 'php mail date' returns a lot of forums ("message posted on date:...") and other not interesting things, so I'm hoping you can get me started.

Store date\time\ message in db, use a cron job to call a php script that runs say hourly to send any email that's due.
