city, state(province) -> timezone

Are there any scripts or services that I can give city, state(province) of North America and get the timezone returned?

Haven't used it myself, but EarthTools do it for longtitude/latitude: http://www.earthtools.org/webservices.htm#timezone.

You could use GoogleMap API to change city and state to coordinations.

Don't know anything that does it all in one go.

I don't know if earthtools would mind if someone write and offer a web service to the public, take address, geocode to lat/long, query earthtools and return timezone.

Hello. This earthtools doesn't cover North Amerca's day light timezones yet. It gives the standard timezones.

So I am still in searching. Any services return the time zones covering the day light time zones issues?
