[RESOLVED] Need help. (T_STRING or T_VARIABLE)

Hi there. I really need help with this one.

I have a problem. Take a look.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '"', expecting T_STRING or T_VARIABLE or T_NUM_STRING in /BLABLA/BLABLA/BLABLA/???/thread.php on line 397

And when i look at line 397 i dont found any problem with it!

Here's line 397 :

<img src='echo htmlentities($row["m_userpic"]); width='105' height='105'>

Whats wrong with it? And yes im very new to PHP. Please help me.

Remember <?= is a shorten form for,

What are you trying to do? You appear to have HTML code embedded in PHP and then you're trying to embed PHP code in that.

This will theoretically work:

<img src='<?php echo htmlentities($row["m_userpic"]); ?>' width='105' height='105'>

But that's assuming you're writing that in the middle of an HTML section of your code.

Hi Predicate,

Before doing this in PHP please try to design the tables in pure HTML. your table structures are fully wrong.

here are some of the mistakes,

1. <tr><br><tr> -where is the closing tags and how come <br> came in between <tr> tags

2. <?=$ans["ans_time"];?> <br/> - where is the closing </td> after this?

3. $row[""] - why empty array element?

Please design your table first and then use the table in echo statement.

I agree with someone saying:
Use normal HTML for this,
instead of trying to put all that HTML into php echo

**** i think i know the problem..

U see its a table in the database called m_userpic and its i the members..

The board have it own table called Forum and there's no table called m_userpic...

Try using actual URL for the image SRC,
