It's running on the older php4 and register globals must be on in order for this software to run properly. I know very little about coding and I need to know some tips to prevent hacking, etc.
If you are truly interested in security, then you are better off switching to a different host or getting the host to upgrade to PHP 5 and disable register globals for you.
PHP 4 is no longer officially maintained, not even for security fixes.
