Uploading file without using a form

Hi guys,
I am looking for a code to upload a file without the use of a form.

I would like ot pass the file name through a variable by simply calling a file called upload.php like this:

upload.php?uploadfile=file.txt

The file would have to be uploade in the same folder as where the upload.php resides.

I do not know about uploading without form.

Just by put a filename in URL ....
Well, and where is the specific data for that filename.
A filename is just empty without something in the file.

How was your idea of submitting the data?
Where should it come from?

If it comes from the users computer, you might as well use the very practical <form>

<input type="file">

If it comes from somewhere else, then I find this is to complicated for me.

What I am actually trying to do is uploading a file using a VB script in an Excel file to a remote server.
Rather then using FTP which requires me to enter login data for the server in the script I am looking for an upload without FTP.
One option could be to open a PHP script on the server which then uploads the file. Normally this is done using a POST method. Howver, the file that needs to be uploaded is already identified in the VB script, so opening a form would be is not necessary and I wnat to bypass that.

Hope this makes things clear a bit.
