posting username to database

Hi guys, Im new to this forum but I just have a question. I am posting a variable containing a users comment and another varaible with their username. I can echo these fine and view comments on the website. However when I login to phpmyadmin and view the table the comment is in the table however the username isnt and it is posted in exactly the same way... Any ideas why this is?

Yes.

Oh, did you want a more elaborate answer? :p There's not much we can suggest without seeing the actual code that inserts the data into your DB.

EDIT: Also note that you might want to post the HTML form as well.
