I apologize in advance since I know this isn't a PHP issue but this is my favorite forum full of great geniuses 😉 I'm a novice self taught developer for the past few years and on my site I have a menu bar that only logged in members can see that updates every 12 seconds to show if there are any unread messages, comments, profile posts, friend requests, etc. etc.
The problem is when I'm scrolled down I can't see anything change..
Can someone tell me how to make it so my self made menu bar is stuck to top of the browser, kind of the opposite of how Facebook's chat bar is stuck to the bottom of the browser? How can I achieve the bar to be glued to the top of the browser so when they scroll the bar doesn't move, thus achieving the ability for users to see new information at any given time?
