Loging In Problems

If I use the log in box at the top right of the forums it says I entered a wrong user or password.

I did the reset password.
From the email I got I click the link to reset password.
I use my username and new password and I get loged in.
Change my password back to what I registered with.
Still cannot log in using the login box at the top right.

I have to go back to that email and click the link for the password reset.
Log in using my username and password.
When I am loged in it ask me to change my password I just go into the forums from there.

That is the only way I can log in.

So I know my username and password is correct.

try to delete the stored cookies, and try it.

i found i have a problem with internet explorer, even after deleting cookies etc, it just doesn't like it.

Firefox works fine though.

If if you reset your password, you must change that password upon logging in, as it will expire in 24 hours. If the password sent does not work, use a different browser or, dump cookies and all offline content. Also closing and reopening the browser to end the session may be required.

I have a similar problem, but even when I reset password, it still tells me the password is wrong, I made a new account last night, made a post, went away for an hour to wait for replies, when I came back, it said wrong password, i tried a reset, and even the password that gets sent to me is wrong. I keep making new accounts to just reply. I've ran out of emails! lol

Any ideas?

Does that login information work with another browser?

One more thing about this issue, when dumping offline content and cookies from IE, be sure "save site preferences" is unchecked. If it isn't then cookies will remain.

Clearing cookies and offline content will work, provided you don't forget to clear site preferences also.
