duplicate import problem

Hi,

Simply put I can't figure out how to stop my import function from running again when the button is pressed multiple times. I've tried setting sessions, globals.. to prevent this behaviour..

But whatever I try, the session or whatever is only set after everything is done running..so when im importing stuff into a table without unique keys i'm just creating loads of duplicates..

please help.. very frustrating

Try adding a [man]session_write_close/man right after you set the session data that prevents multiple form submissions - doing so will force PHP to write the new session data to disk immediately.

thanks, that looked promising but it still wont work..

some simplified code to be clear, it just never dies i can keep pressing import while its running

public function write(){	
	if(!isset($_SESSION['import'])){	
		$_SESSION['import'] = 'something';
		session_write_close();

	// here im calling the function that takes care if the import

} else die;
}
