[RESOLVED] Setting var on image click

Hi,

I am fairly new to PHP and i am trying to make an image gallery where clicking on a category, opens the albums inside. I got my script to get the categories and show them as a thumbnail gallery, however I can't get it so clicking on the thumbnail sets a variable for the slected category. right now i have it so the var is set in the "href" but that doesn't work

echo('<a target="_blank" href="categories.php?lof=$lof"> <br />');
	echo('<img src="images/FE/Cat/Sample Pictures/Chrysanthemum.jpg" width="110" height="90" /><br />');

Where is the variable $lof defined?

echo('<a target="_blank" href="categories.php?lof=$lof"> <br />');

You need to use double quotes around your echo statement in order to print out the value of the variable:

echo "<a target='_blank' href='categories.php?lof=$lof'> <br />";

or better yet, just echo the dynamic portions (makes the code easier to read):

<a target="_blank" href="categories.php?lof=<?php echo $lof; ?>"> <br />

Duh, my bad I had forgotten to change one of my var names to $lof in order to assign the correct value. Thanx for the help.
