[RESOLVED] Drupal6 and 100% Oracle to replace MySQL DB

Beyond this experimental driver, if anyone here has fully integrated an Oracle 10 or 11G database into Drupal 6 to 100% replace the MySQL driver, please detail how you did it?

Before you reply, please be informed I am aware Drupal 7 will likely support an OCI8 or PDO Oracle driver, and also there are other projects that allow Drupal 6 to connect to Oracle parallel to MySQL. As to the former the stable release is a few months away plus I have numerous important modules that don't yet support 7. And as to the latter, the client would prefer a 100% Oracle solution.

Client opted to run Oracle parallel to MySQL, so I'm using a beta module that should help with the database abstraction layer, or I could always code my own OCI8 direct connection to Oracle via node PHP scripting or custom module. Marking as resolved as there really is no 100% Oracle solution which is both stable and well supported prior to Drupal 7 in the future.

Generally, Oracle supports for Java. A wide variety of database is maintained on the server and it can be retrieved as whenever the user required. The user can run both Oracle and MySQL similarly. Know more about Oracle BDA at Oracle Training in Chennai.
