Help with E-Mail in Flash

Hello everyone,

I need some help with some PHP code...

I would like to send an e-mail with scores using PHP in a flash program. I've used many versions of code, but nothing works. What all do I have to do to make this work? Do I need to set up a server somewhere? I have little knowledge about this, and I would appreciate the help! Thanks!

You will need to provide code examples of what you have tried.

To the best of my knowledge there is tons of examples of taking data from Flash and doing something with it in PHP.

Also, if you explain your workflow - maybe we can help you.

i.e.

Flash Based Game -> Top Scores -> EMail These Scores to a Friend

Flash would then take the information and pass email address, and a text field of scores to PHP to be emailed

We can then point you in the right direction.

Okay!

I have created a flash program that tests the user's knowledge of musical intervals. It keeps the score of correct and incorrect answers (variables correct and incorrect). When the user is finished, they are required to input their name, e-mail address, and the e-mail address that the scores will be sent to (variables username, email1, email2).

I would like the variables described above to be put through a PHP file to send an e-mail of the name and scores to email1 and email2.

I don't have any code at this point.

A Quick Google Search revealed a site here.

if I were you I would google "Flash PHP Form" (or somethin to that effect)

here is one that uses Name, Email and Message, you could easily convert that to be email1, email2, correct, incorrect.

Although I greatly disagree with the methods used to send e-mail in that tutorial, it may get blocked by spam filters, etc.

I would check out phpMailer or SwiftMailer.
