in most cases such a url is going to be rewritten to some kind of front end controller so that the url can be used to pull the appropriate information from a db

I m making a online auction site in which when i click on a product it goes to product details page taking url as mentioned earlier.
but I dnt from where it get path for product_details.php page

assuming apache server,
you can rewire the urls to like so:

in .htaccess

RewriteEngine ON
RewriteRule ^.*$ index.php [L]

that redirects all traffic to index.php, you will want to do some research on this before implementing it.

One more problem when I use

RewriteRule ^index.html$ index.php

it works fine
but when I use

RewriteRule ^{register/index.html$} register.php

it misses all css codings and images.

Plz help me its really urgent

you can exclude files\directories from being rewritten, so exclude either by file extension or location.
