Printing to receipt printer, images / barcode

Hey everyone

Im writing an app that utilises a receipt printer, but coming across an issue.
The barcode is randomly generated using the transaction number, and included in the page to print.
The receipt prints fine, then it goes very slow for the image of the barcode.

can anyone help at all to help speed it up?

perhaps a barcode font would be faster than an image (just a guess)

anyone got any experience using barcode fonts?

Receipt printer have normally built-in barcoding logic, if that is your case, you just have to send some escape commands to the printer, that is faster than an image
