[RESOLVED] Make a select in my front page

Is there a way to make a select to my database and show the information selected in my webpage without destroing the design of my webpage?
Can anyone please help!!

Hi dagon and thanks for replying back. This is the url of the page where I would like to bring the information: http://www.issosua.com/index_new.html
Where I want to bring the information from my database using PHP is right under the title UPCOMING EVENTS. Is there a way to do it and how can I do it?
The information that I have under that title I wrote it by hand, but I want to stop doing it by hand and bring it with a select to my database.

what you will need to do phprooky dude

is make your index_new.html

into

index_new.php

or

index.php what ever your main page is like

you can make an external page
for example.

settings.php

add

<?php
$updates = "This is the Lastest update!"!
?>

at the top of your index page

add

<?php include 'settings.php' ; ?>

then where ever you want the updates just apply

<? echo $updates ; ?>

This index page is going to be my main webpage and our webserver provider recommend to have each main page with the extension .html
There's no other way to do it?

Sounds like you should tell your provider to mind their own business (literally? :p) and leave you to use whatever file extension best suits your needs (such as .php for PHP scripts and .html for HTML documents).
