Pointing my domain to an Amazon EC2 server instance

Can anyone explain to me the process by which one hosts your domain using Amazon EC2? I'm kind of wondering how this works because of the whole virtual server thing. As in IP addresses change and stuff.

If anyone can explain how the process works with a load balancer (meaning i could have many machines hosting my domain) that would be even better.

I think Amazon might be a better source of information; they can provide the static IPs you'd link the domain name to.

Yes I've been reading and reading over there. Google and Amazon have such confused, cluttered SDK's and documentation. I've been spoiled by the PHP docs.

I started this thread over there which has been pretty informative. Still trying to grok the info that has been provided.

Was just wondering if anybody in this camp had personal experience with such a thing.
