Faking mail server

Hi,

I'm building a mailing script, and I would like to know if it's possible to change the header that says from where it comes (for example, mail.google.com). I know we can do a lot of things with the headers and PHP, so I was wondering if this was beyond limits ...

If PHP can't is it possible by setting up my own SMTP server?

What do you mean by "from where it comes" ? Are you talking about the From e-mail address? The Return-Path header? Some other header?

relais.videotron.ca = my ISP's SMTP server. Is there a way I can put something else there?

No. That's added by either your ISP's outbound MTA or the remote MTA when it receives the message.
