Embedding an survey written with html and php into an email

Is it possible to use html and php to create a survey that gets embedded in an email?

I want to send an email that contains a survey, where the recipient of the email can fill in and submit the survey from the email itself, without having to go to a separate website. It'd be nice if this was compatible with both email websites and email clients.

if your survey has checkboxes, selects etc then no, if you just want basic text responses yes, but its difficult, i would stick to using a web page.

Thanks for the respone. But why is it possible to make a survey with basic text responses but not with more advanced stuff?

you cant have the interactive form elements, textarearea,select lists etc in an email, but you could ask a list of questions and get typed replies, you then have to work out how to process the replies.
