I'm currently trying to create a shopping cart for my site, as well as a check-out, and pay area.
Is there a library that could help simplify this for me?

just a couple of the hundreds

dagon, You forgot Prestashop. It is a little easier to configure and run than Magneto, Zen-Cart and osCommerce.
I did not forget, i have just never herd of it, there are hundreds of cart scripts out there, its a matter of doing your research and seeing which one matches you needs.
