[RESOLVED] mysql sum question

I am trying the following

SELECT SUM(TL-FL) AS SUMMARY FROM tblvisiblepsdbsumoneweekpfil WHERE loneind = 'X' GROUP BY (TL-FL)

but it gives me multiple distinct values. Is it because I'm grouping by a calculated field?

Can you give us some sample data and explain what you're getting versus what you're trying to get as a result?
